“The Best Indian Food in the Coachella Valley.”

Active ImageLike something out of a fantasy Delhi Place, Cuisine of India is just like taking a trip to India and eating at one of the best Indian restaurants in New Delhi, the capital of India. The Delhi Palace, a longtime favorite of ours, offers a delightful and tasty assortment of foods from the many regions of India. Owned by cousins Vikranta “Vick” Arora and Sukhcharan “Goldy” Singh, the Delhi Palace, is family operated and has been serving Palm Springs in the same location since 1989. Vick and Goldy are both chiefs and between them have more than 13 years of experience cooking and operating restaurants. The goal at the Delhi Place is “to give diners an authentic and delicious taste of Indian food.” The cousins and business partners love cooking Indian food because the spices not only make food enjoyable but Indian spices are also healing.” Goldy adds “they have healing powers and I like cooking food that taste good and also heals.”

Active ImageThe Delhi Place is special not only because their food is great, but also because they have the largest selection of vegetarian dishes in the Coachella Valley. “We also can make on request just about any type of vegan food anyone could desire.” Vick told us. “All you have to do is ask and we can make it for you.” “Delhi Palace is special because it actually has a real red clay ceramic Tandoori oven which cooks with charcoal. “This allows the real flavor of tandoori cooking to come through so our customers can really enjoy what we cook for them. You have never really experienced nan (Indian bread) until you have tasted it from our Tandoori oven.” Says Goldy. We make our bread fresh just for you. We can make bread any way you want it made: roti (whole wheat) and paratha multi-layer whole wheat bread, aloo paratha (stuffed with potato and spices), garlic, onion, cheese, stuffed with minced meat or nuts, cashews and raisins, also poori (deep fried whole wheat puffed).
