It was Lisa’s Birthday and we decided to treat ourselves and spend it
in San Diego, California. San Diego, the birthplace of California
started as a sleepy small village in 1754 today it is by many standards
still a small town but not it has just about everything you could want
the ocean, temperate climate, lots to do and see and many great
restaurants to dine at.
For this trip we picked three wonderful restaurants each unique and
special in its own way. One for seafood, one for Island-Oriental food
and one for its South of the Border charm. Come join us now and take a
taste trip with us to experience these three outstanding restaurants.
Island Prime

Known for its fine dining and superb service, Island Prime, a five star
restaurant is a “must dine at” restaurant for both residents and
tourists to San Diego looking for a great meal at a reasonable price.
Island Prime sits at the end of Island Harbor peninsula so it has a
magnificently breathtaking view of the San Diego Bay, Coronado Island,
the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge, two air craft carriers and the City

Bali Hai

I remember the time I first visited Bali Hai Restaurant it was in the
late 1960's and we were off for a long weekend in San Diego. My family
and I headed for a great restaurant were, at that time, they had a
Polynesian floor show, the Bali Hai Restaurant.
I can remember it as if were yesterday sitting out on the patio on
a balmy breezy night when suddenly, everything went dark and the drums
started their lilting and rhythmic beat.

Rockin’ Baja Lobster
3890 Twiggs St
San Diego, CA 92110-2842

One of the most enjoyable places in San Diego is Old Town San Diego.
However walking and shopping, can raise your appetite and make you
quite hungry. Once hungry you could stop at any one of the dozens of
food stands, small and large restaurants within and in the surrounding
area to Old Town. Since we were celebrating Lisa's Birthday and Lisa's
favorite food is sea foods we decided to stop in at Rockin' Baja
Lobster which was within walking distance of Old Town, San Diego.
