A fixture in Desert Hot Springs from more than 22 years the Cottage Too serves wholesome and delicious breakfasts and tasty lunches every day of the week. “Cottage Too,” say owners Dave Labbaf and Jay Arman, “is special because we have the best food, the best quality, fast and good service, at the best price!” “We have been in the same location and we have consistently served food that people can count on. Our employees are like family, most have worked with for years some as long as 10 to 12 years. In as number of cases mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, whole families, have worked for and with us. They love working here and they show it in the way they take care of our customers.” Says Labbaf, “We have a very steady clientele, many have been customers for years and return because they know they can count on us to give them a great meal.”

Cottage Too serves only breakfast and lunch. You can call ahead and order take out if you wish but the majority of our patrons love eating here. Cottage too’s menu is simple but complete. They serve everything from pancakes to steak. Each day there is one or more specials which they list on their Specials Board. If you want a low-calorie plate you can choose from fish, hamburger patty or New York Steak. If you like chili they have that too. Fish and chips, breaded shrimp or seafood combo, shrimp, scallops and cod, or for a taste treat try their deep fried scallops. They serve both hot and cold sandwiches. a great Beefeaters Sandwich on Sourdough Bread with Swiss Cheese, Hot Roast Beef or Turkey Sandwich, Corned Beef or Chili Size. For the light eater tasty salads, soup or a Half Turkey, Beef or Corned Beef sandwich, salad and Soup of the Day. Breakfast and lunch entrees are served all day. If you are watching your cholesterol it is one of the few places you can get steaming hot oatmeal, with raisins and brown sugar. Entrees range in cost from $6.39 to $13.99 for deep fried scallops. A New York Steak diner with soup or salad is only $11.99. The prices are great and the food can’t be beat.

Chef Nick Montelongo and his kitchen staff are “egg happy” creating eggs scrambled, in omeletes, over easy or over hard, in fact any way you would like them. Most breakfast entrees come with Cottages own Home Fries, Toast or Biscuit and Gravy. With your egg plates you can have your choice any style egg along of bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, hamburger patty, ham, Canadian bacon, chicken fried steak or even a New York steak. And everything is delissiousssss!!! To wash down your meal choices of regular or decaf coffee, hot or iced tea, hot or cold chocolate milk, sodas, choices of juices, or milk, or if you desire, domestic and imported beers and wines.
